HOUSTON – Texas Southern University was evacuated Wednesday after a threat was made against the campus, according to officials.
The all-clear was given around 4:30 p.m. and university officials said normal operations will resume on Thursday.

A Houston police Emergency Center call taker received the threat around 1:40 p.m. Police then requested the university to evacuate and all remaining classes for the day were canceled.
The University of Houston basketball team's game scheduled for Wednesday night will be played.
All TSU students, faculty and staff were urged to leave campus.

Dorms were also evacuated.
TSU is located in Houston's Third Ward, near the University of Houston and Yates High School.
All TSU students, faculty, and staff are urged to leave campus, including the dorm.
