The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund is disbursing the last round of grants to local flood victims.
The fund was established by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Harris County Judge Ed Emmett last year to help with disaster relief, whether it was an immediate medium or long-term need.

Overall, more than $113 million will have been given out to help 190,000 households.
The decisions were based on carefully selected nonprofit organizations.
This latest round of $3 million will be handed out to 17 nonprofits. They will, in turn, provide furniture, cash or other basic needs to qualified Harvey victims. These organizations were found to be in the hardest-hit communities.
“The effects of Harvey will be felt for years to come,” said Emmett. “These local nonprofit grantees have strong track records of supporting our communities. We’re confident that they can make a real difference in the longer term.”
“It’s been over a year since Harvey, but there is still work that needs to be done to help people get back on their feet,” Turner said. “This last round of funding strengthens our communities and supports recovery across the city.”
