HOUSTON – Texans football is finally back for the regular season at NRG and the Houston Texans have the Sunday night game! This means some loyal fans will be showing up EARLY to tailgate. If you’re heading out, prepare for summer-like temperatures!

The forecast for tailgating is hot, but it will not be near as hot as it was for the Giants’ preseason game when we hit 100° and had heat alerts.

Temperatures will be in the lower-90s at 2 p.m., and by 4 p.m., we will have a heat index over 100° so make sure you drink plenty of water. Our temperatures will be lowering by 5 p.m., but we will still be warm as you enter NRG in the lower-90s.
The game kicks off at 7:20 p.m.! Temperatures will be in the mid-80s but feeling warmer. By the 4th quarter, we’ll be in the lower-80s.
