Four armed males entered the residence and tied up the mother, father and two children who were inside the home, police said.

According to HCSO, the mother was able to untie herself and the rest of the family and call authorities. The men assaulted the father and demanded money before they fled the scene, police said.

Authorities do not believe this was a random act.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constable, Mark Herman said that no one was injured.
