HOUSTON – The Alvin, Texas home where legendary national baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan grew up is for sale, according to The Loken Group with Keller Williams.
The famous Texan grew up in a 1,194-square-foot home on Dezso Drive.

The four-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath home was once featured in a 1986 "Sports Illustrated" interview in which Ryan said his mom was still living in it at the time.

“This home is a staple and a little piece of history in Alvin, Texas, that can never be replaced. The next owners will be lucky to call this iconic property home,” one of the current property owners, Christina Wendet, said
The Wendet family purchased the property in 2010, and have since renovated the property, but kept many of the original finishes.
The price on the house is $149,000.
