MINNESOTA, Minn. – The 7th annual NFL Honors show begins in a few hours as celebrities and athletes walk down the red carpet for interviews and pictures.
KPRC 2 anchor Rachel McNeil will be interviewing as athletes, nominees and celebrities to get their reaction and anticipation for Saturday's night award show.
For many Houstonians, Texans player J.J. Watt is the most anticipated nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

"It's exciting. It's just an honor to be nominated and represent the city of Houston and be out here to shine a light on our great city," Watt said.
Watt said the Walter Payton Man of the Year award it's an award there shouldn't be a loser for because the men who were also nominated have also done great things.

If he wins, he will be the first Houston Texan to receive the award since the program's inception.

Keenum said as a University of Houston alumni and former Texans player, he is proud of JJ Watt's hard work in the recovery of Hurricane Harvey and deserves national recognition.

Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins red carpet interview:
Hopkins said he is excited for Watt being nominated and all that he has done for the city of Houston. He said Watt has been active in helping the city and he's glad to see him finally getting national recognition for it.

"Even if he doesn't win, he's gained a lot of respect," Hopkins said.
