HOUSTON – A teenager is facing charges after a threat made against a student led to a lockdown at Clear Lake High School Monday morning.
Michael J. Giron-Pickens, 19, is charged with terroristic threat.

A spokeswoman for the Clear Creek Independent School District said a student reported that her ex-boyfriend, later identified as Giron-Pickens, threatened her and that she believed she saw him on campus.
Officials said the school was locked down while Harris County and Clear Creek officers searched the campus.
Around 10:30 a.m., the lockdown was lifted and the school went into "protect mode," which is different from a lockdown. According to the district's website, protect mode is, "when there is an external event (ie: bank robbery, police chase) which makes it unsafe for students to be outside. In these situations, all exterior doors will be locked and students will move throughout the building as usual."
The "protect mode" was lifted about 11:15 a.m.
After the protect mode was lifted, about 400 of the 2,500 student body left campus with their parent or guardian, according to officials.
“It is my hope that we kept you, our parents, informed along the way. For those who understandably came to the campus out of concern, thank you for your grace and patience as you waited outside. Keeping a firm parameter is for everyone’s safety,” principal Karen Engle said.
Giron-Pickens was arrested on outstanding warrants, officials said. He was found at his home in Pasadena.
His bail was set at $5,000.
All students are safe, officials said.
The school is planning on having extra police presence Tuesday.
