HOUSTON – It's time to go out in the sun, but you don't want to go with the wrong sunscreen that will leave you burned.
Consumer Reports found sunscreens may not be protecting your skin as well as advertised and that one third of 34 sunscreens did not meet their SPF claims.

According to researchers, among the worst performers were Yes To Cucumber natural SPF 30. That actually had an SPF of 14.
Vanicream SPF 50+ came in second because the magazine says it's actually 17.
Then at Walgreens, the Baby SPF 50+ was found to really only provide an SPF of 25.
Doctors recommend an SPF of 30 or higher for adequate protection.
