KATY, Texas – A man accused of lurking over a child's crib after breaking into a family's home has been charged with three counts of burglary.
Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Offices say 18-year-old Christopher Gomez was arrested Thursday night near Katy on warrants issued in other cases. Officials credit Gomez's arrest to a Crime Stoppers tip.
Authorities said Friday they formally filed three burglary of a habitation charges against Gomez. One of the charges stems from the April 5 home burglary where he was seen peering over a child's crib.

All three charges stem from an alleged crime spree in the early morning hours of April 5, according to court documents.
"I feel relieved that this person is in custody. He should move on and do better with his life," victim, Thinh Le, told Local 2 Friday.
Thinh Le was horrified, after reviewing home security video, to see stranger standing and staring at his 2-year-old son while the boy, and the rest of the family was sleeping.
According to documents read in court Friday, Gomez admitted he is the burglar seen in the video. He also admitted to entering two other houses the same night.
Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Offices said Gomez on warrants issued in other cases. Gomez has been convicted of car burglary and marijuana possession in the past.
Officials credit Gomez's latest arrest to a Crime Stoppers tip.
