SPRING, Texas – A Spring Independent School District campus was evacuated Wednesday after the smell of gas was detected, a spokesperson for the district said.
Students at Dekaney High School were escorted to the football field, the district said.

Students who ride the bus were rerouted to the transportation department.
The district said it is assessing the situation.
