GALVESTON, Texas – The City of Galveston is searching for a new city manager after their current one Michael Kovacs was removed from office on Tuesday.
Kovacs, who served as the city's top administrator since January 2012, was voted out of office by the Galveston City Council in a 4-3 vote.

A spokesperson for the City of Galveston declined KPRC's request for information citing Kovacs removal as a "personal matter."
The City says it will conduct a nationwide search to replace Kovacs.
