HOUSTON – A northwest Harris County high school was evacuated Friday after a gas leak.
The leak was reported behind Waltrip High School, 1900 West 34th, at 11:20 a.m.

Students and staff were evacuated as a precaution. They returned to the school a short time later.
No injuries were reported.
A crew was sent to the area to cap the leak.
