Corpus Christi – The man accused of shooting a Corpus Christi officer and then fleeing from the scene has been arrested Thursday afternoon, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.

A Blue Alert was issued for a 20-year-old Joshua Powell on Wednesday night after investigators say he shot an officer at an apartment complex located in the 5900 block of Weber Road.
A warrant was also issued Wednesday evening for Powell’s arrest. Powell is wanted for attempted capital murder. His bond is set at $1 million.
The officer who was shot during the incident was transported to the hospital in stable condition, according to police.
