HOUSTON – A 12-year-old who was hit by a vehicle during a hit-and-run incident in north Harris County Monday is in stable condition, Harris County sheriff’s deputies said.
It happened in the 5700 block of Greenhouse after 6:30 a.m.
According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the 12-year-old, who also has autism, was found in the roadway.
Gonzalez said he was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The boy’s condition is now stable and Gonzalez said he will survive his injuries.
Investigators said the driver that hit the victim fled the scene.
An investigation is underway as deputies work to find that suspect.
