Got $2? Here’s how to get yourself Frosty treats through 2023 at Wendy’s

HOUSTON – Wendy’s is offering fans a way to grab a Frosty every single day in 2023 for just $2 with a restaurant purchase.

What is this fast food alchemy? It’s the chain’s key tag. Here’s how it works: Just buy something at the restaurant, show your $2 tag (or use one of the mobile options shown below) and score a free Frosty. The key tags are available at participating U.S. locations.

You can purchase your key tag now through Jan. 29, 2023. Frosty key tags are valid from Nov. 21, 2022 through Dec. 31, 2023.

Customers can purchase Wendy’s Frosty key tags in three ways:

  • In Restaurant:  Ask to add a Frosty key tag when placing an order.
  • Wendy’s Mobile App: Once purchased in the Wendy’s app, customers will immediately receive their Frosty key tag as a mobile offer which can be applied to mobile orders or added to their Wendy’s Rewards card for in-restaurant scanning. A Wendy’s app download and account registration are required to purchase and redeem the digital Frosty key tag though the Wendy’s app. Digital Frosty key tag will be automatically added to user’s account immediately upon purchase. The offer refreshes hourly and is only valid for one use per order with any purchase until Dec. 31, 2023.
  • Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s Website: You can purchase Frosty key tags in bulk on the Foundation’s website. The chain said in its news released that 85% of every $2 Frosty key tag sold from Nov. 21, 2022 through Jan. 29, 2023, will benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is a national nonprofit public charity dedicated to finding permanent homes for the more than 140,000 children waiting in North America’s foster care systems, according to the restaurant’s news release.
