LEAGUE CITY, Texas – A mother is demanding answers after she says her 14-year-old child came home from school with different injuries on multiple occasions.
The child, who is a student at Clear Springs High School, was born with a congenital disorder. Her specific condition requires full-time aid.
As a freshman at the school, Sophia’s mother says she is worried about her safety after her daughter has come home injured several times.
“She came home with a black eye,” Sophia’s mother, Angela Taylor said. “About a month after that, Sophia came home with two black eyes,” the mother added.
Angela says about a week after school started this past fall, Sophia came home with a black eye. When Angela reached out to the school, they notified her that another student who had become angry pushed Sophia over. Sophia then reportedly fell face-first on the ground. Administrators at the high school reassured Angela that this situation would never happen again.
About a month later, the concerned mother was told Sophia was injured, again. This time, school staff members said she had allegedly fallen face-first on her walker.
Angela says several of these incidents could have been prevented had her daughter received the right kind of assistance.
