MISSOURI CITY, Texas – An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed while sitting in his vehicle with his girlfriend outside of his parents’ home in Missouri City, officers with the Houston Police Department said.
HPD and emergency officials with the Houston Fire Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 15300 block of Ridingwood Drive. Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they found a man, who is about 50 years of age, that was shot. Police pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Officers said they are questioning the victim’s girlfriend at this time. According to investigators, the victim is the son of the residents. He sometimes sleeps in his truck in front of the home, police said.
Investigators said a person is believed to have walked up to the home and fired into the vehicle.
As of now, police said they don’t have any suspect information.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
