AUSTIN, Texas – H-E-B has opened a two-story on the lakeside in Austin this week, becoming the first multilevel store in that city.
According to a news release, the newest multilevel store, located on Lake Austin Boulevard, held their grand opening on Wednesday.

The store spans 97,000 square feet and will offer restaurants such as New York-style pizza, coffee and breakfast tacos, Texas barbecue, and a bar serving a range of Texas craft beers and drinks.
The exterior will have vine-covered walls and materials such as limestone, wood, and metals.
Parking will be located underground, where customers will be able to use one of three elevators and several escalators, including cart escalators.
The news release stated that H-E-B’s construction of the Lake Austin store began in 2019, but was delayed due to COVID-19.
