HOUSTON – An investigation is ongoing after two men were shot during a fight outside a nightclub in southeast Houston early Friday, the Houston Police Department said.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at El Botanero nightclub in the 9200 block of Gulf Freeway near College Avenue shortly before 3 a.m.

HPD Lt. I. Izaguirre said an argument ensued between several people which was later taken outside.
At some point, shots were fired within the group, and police said that was when two men were shot in the legs.
Someone applied tourniquets to stop the bleeding until paramedics arrived. They transported the men to the hospital. They are expected to be OK.
Izaguirre said witnesses told officers that at least one suspect fled the scene in a white four-door sedan.
Investigators found at least eight shell casings at the parking lot near the nightclub.
