9 French bulldogs rescued from ‘horrific living conditions’

HOUSTON – The Houston SPCA and Harris County Constable Precinct 1 responded to a report of nine French bulldogs living outside in deplorable conditions in Houston’s Fifth Ward.

Officials at the scene said the poor living conditions included kennels filled with garbage, dirt and debris.

The dogs were brought back to the Houston SPCA where veterinary exams confirmed they had canine mange and heartworms.

The dogs are being fostered through Caitie’s Foster Fam.

Subjecting animals to a life of neglect and deplorable living conditions is animal cruelty and is a felony in the state of Texas, punishable by up to two years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
