Firefighters battle recycling center fire in northwest Houston

HOUSTON – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a fire at a recycling center in northwest Houston Friday.

The 3-alarm fire happened in the 9500 block of Clay Road. Fire crews were called at approximately 4:40 p.m.

One person was reportedly injured and was taken to the hospital. It is not known what the nature of the injury is.

The Houston Fire Department said the fire is now out and crews are working on cleaning up the scene.
