MISSOURI CITY, Texas – A Fort Bend County man is lucky to be alive after being shot at several times in his own driveway.
Dramatic surveillance video shared only with KPRC 2 shows the suspects charging at his truck with guns drawn before firing multiple rounds.
The man, who asked to not be identified for fear of his safety, works in the automotive industry.
He was just getting home from a long day of work around 9 p.m. on Friday near Highway 90 and South Gessner Road.
While parked in his driveway waiting for the gate to open, a car pulled up seconds after him and the armed suspects emerged.

The victim’s son, who also asked for his identity to not be shared for his safety, told only KPRC 2′s Bryce Newberry that he heard gunshots outside his home.
“We’re all just traumatized by what happened,” the victim’s son said. “Each shot that landed thankfully didn’t hit him”
Five bullets hit the truck, leaving damage to the tailgate, center console, and the driver window, he said.
Shattered glass from the busted windows left injuries to his father’s arm.
“He’s not in critical condition, but his mental state is not the same,” the victim’s son said.
The victim had quick instincts and immediately backed out of his driveway, ramming the back of the suspects’ getaway car, before he drove down the street. The suspects were then seen on surveillance video scrambling to flee.
At least one of the suspects was wearing a ski mask, according to dispatch audio courtesy of Broadcastify.
Missouri City Police confirmed an active investigation and do not know at this point if the victim was followed home. No arrests have been made.
“It’s pretty traumatizing to know that you had people try to take your father’s life away from you, from your family, and understand that they really tried to take his life away,” he said. “You can’t even work without people trying to take something from you, take something away.”
