Much of this area is farm and ranch land. The fire drives cattle off their homeland and burns every inch of the fields they graze on.

In response, RodeoHouston is offering a helping hand to those in the agriculture and livestock industry who need it most.

“As an organization whose mission is to promote agriculture, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is saddened to see so many colleagues, ranches and livestock affected by the fires in the Texas Panhandle,” RodeoHouston said on social media. “For those looking for a way to support those impacted, please call Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.”

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is an organization that provides “training, publications, apps and programs to bring Texans the latest research in agriculture, natural resources and life sciences,” according to their website.

They need a variety of resources to help those impacted, including:

  • Hay
  • Feed
  • Fence Supplies
  • Cow Feed
  • Milk Replacer

For additional information on how you can help those impacted, please call 806-354-5800 or visit their website.
