HOUSTON – A woman is dead and three men were taken to hospitals after a series of shootings at several different locations in northeast Houston Wednesday.
Investigators say it appears two families had an argument which led to someone taking out a rifle and opening fire.

The woman was found dead at Abernathy Street and Tiffin Street in the Fifth Ward, according to police.
A man was shot on Wylie and Wayne Streets, and another man was shot in the 3400 block of Love Street. The two of them were taken to the hospital where one is in critical condition and the other is expected to recover.
A fourth shooting victim may have been found on Sumpter.
Police say they are still searching for the suspected shooter.
