Bruce Hollen, a 63-year-old ex-church pastor from The Woodlands, has been taken into custody on charges related to child pornography. The arrest came following an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, as confirmed by the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office.
Hollen appeared in court on Friday, where his bond was set at $30,000. He faces charges of possession with intent to promote child pornography, which, under Texas law, involves knowingly possessing material depicting a child under 18 engaged in sexual conduct.

According to court documents, some of the photos showed girls aged 9-12 naked from their waist down and engaged in sexual activity.
Hollen was a pastor at Calvary Chapel of The Woodlands who posted the following statement to their social media profiles:
The board of Calvary Chapel of The Woodlands has discussed the allegation against Pastor Bruce Hollen and has unanimously decided effective immediately that as of 5/08/2024, Bruce Hollen is stripped of his role as lead pastor of Calvary Chapel of The Woodlands. The board hereby has determined that Bruce Hollen no longer has authority, authorization, or permission to conduct any business on behalf of Calvary Chapel of The Woodlands. He may not hold himself out as a leader in any capacity for the church, and he may not speak of the church in any capacity.
