It happened around 10:45 p.m. when Houston police said they were called to the 4200 block of Tampico St. near Eastex Fwy. Responding officers said they found an unidentified man shot in the leg.

The man told police he was robbed by a total of three people: two teenage boys and a woman. He says they took his wallet before running away. Investigators say a good Samaritan followed the robbers and pointed officers in their direction.

When officers found the robbers, a foot chase ensued. They managed to grab two of the teenage boys, both 14 and 16 years old, respectively. One of them was carrying a backpack, with two guns inside.

At last check, the third robber is still at large and witnesses say another suspect may have been involved in the robbery that the victim did not see.
