Why did Pres. Biden stop at an Atlanta Waffle House after the presidential debate with Trump?

Some say it was his final ploy to seem relatable to the public after a shaky debate left voters with more questions than answers ahead of the next presidential election.

ATLANTA – Thursday night’s presidential debate was certainly one for the books.

It was a first in many ways as former Pres. Trump became the first candidate to ever hit the debate stage after being found guilty on dozens of charges last month.

The debate was also the first notable time commentators suggested afterwards that the Democratic party select a different front-runner ahead of the election, with major concerns surrounding Pres. Biden’s ability to serve 4 more years, knowing his second term would end with him being 86 years old.

After the debate, social media erupted with remarks about lies told by former Pres. Trump and the lack of energy from Pres. Biden.

Although Biden’s competency was a highlighted topic of discussion, he had enough wits about him to head over to an Atlanta staple after the debate and grab a bite to eat with First Lady Jill.

If the debate wasn’t enough to talk about, people began talking about their impromptu trip to Waffle House and what they thought about it.

Going off the script here, we have to talk about Waffle House’s impact on Atlanta culture and nightlife in cities around the country.

I’m sure there are many of you, like myself, who have hit up Waffle House in a bunch of different scenarios. Whether you had a great day, a terrible day, or need a quick pick me up after a night of drinking with your friends, Waffle House can do NO wrong.

We think that was the exact reason the Bidens found themselves at the beloved diner for a late-night bite to eat. (Or they were looking for a real fight - which Waffle House is also known for - after... whatever that was.)

In a post on The Shade Room, users commented that the decision to stop at the eatery was a political move to help people feel a more one-on-one connection to the president.

“Debriefing at a Waffle House is crazy,” one user posted.

“He panders so much …..he knows yall believe seeing him (in) a Waffle House some how makes him more relatable. This man don’t eat this stuff SMH!” another user wrote.

Also, someone said, “Better get out of there before 2AM Joe‼️ They like to TUSSLE - might not make it to that golf match 😂😂”

While leaving the diner, someone asked him how did he feel about the debate.

“Mr. President, how did you think you performed tonight?” someone asked.

“I think I did well,” Biden responded.

The person went on to say, “Democrats are concerned that you should drop out, that you’re not fit for the job. Your voice, your performance tonight. Do you have any concerns about your performance?”

Biden said, “It’s hard to debate a liar. The New York Times pointed out that he (Trump) lied 26 times. Big lies.”

He also stated he was suffering from a cold at the time of the debate.
