Couple arrested for fatally running over pedestrian in separate cars, fleeing the scene

A husband and wife have been taken into custody in Harris County after police say they both ran over a pedestrian in separate vehicles, killing him.

At 8:23 a.m. on July 9, 55-year-old Freddy Lee Heine was struck by two vehicles at the 9700 block of Antoine Dr. in Northwest Houston. After the crime, both vehicles fled the scene.

Harris County deputies learned that the vehicles were connected beyond the incident, as one was driven by Emanuel Dewayne Watson, 55, and the other was driven by his wife, Robin Yvette Williams-Watson, 55.

The couple was charged with failure to stop and render aid, and they were both booked into Harris County Jail.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported the arrests on X (formerly Twitter).
