Suspect arrested for capital murder of gas station clerk killed during robbery in southeast Houston

HOUSTON – A Houston man has been arrested and charged with capital murder following the fatal shooting of a gas station clerk during a robbery on July 17.

The murder occurred shortly after the employee opened the gas station located at 6600 Mykawa Road in southeast Houston. The incident was reported at 10:55 a.m., and authorities said the victim was already dead when they arrived at the scene.

The suspect, identified as Dnarion Henderson, allegedly shot Francisco Merino during the robbery.

Henderson has been charged with capital murder.
