The second was shot in the back and police say he could end up paralyzed.
The shootings may be related, police said.
“The one that ended up at the hospital, there were some witnesses that were saying he was going to the Alief Learning Center to collect some money from somebody and suspects got involved, the shooting happened; still don’t know exactly the details on that,” said HPD Lt. Ronnie Willkens. “They don’t think we’re getting the facts from everybody to try and figure out exactly what occurred but we’re thinking these two are gonna be related.”
Friends of the teen who was shot in the back told police the shooting happened at a corner store.
“All they were saying was they were at a corner store, some location, we still don’t know where that’s at ‘cause they couldn’t give good locations or addresses or where they’re saying they were at,” Willkens said.
Those friends drove the victim to an area off Rogerdale Road between Bellaire Boulevard and Town Park Drive and called for help. Lt. Willkens said that teen may be paralyzed.
