Still dealing with storm debris from Beryl? Here’s how you can track the cleanup progress in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas – Let’s try this again!

For the second time, the city of Houston’s Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) has released its tool that’s set to help residents track the progress of storm debris cleanup.

The storm debris collection map is set to track the daily progress of debris collections following Hurricane Beryl.

SWMD said the tool is updated daily at 8 p.m., and the map displays areas where collections have occurred, where crews are currently working, and where collections are scheduled for but have not yet started.

Residents can type their addresses in the toolbar to determine their approximate collection schedule.

Here’s a breakdown of the map:

Yellow areas indicate neighborhoods where crews are currently collecting the first pass.

Green areas indicate neighborhoods where the first pass of storm debris collection is complete.

Gray areas indicate neighborhoods in the queue for collection that will be assigned as soon as crews are available.
