Man killed in head-on collision while driving on wrong side of road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash involving a car driving on the wrong side of the road.

The wreck occurred at 900 Durham Dr. at around 2:25 a.m. Tuesday morning. A black Dodge Charger was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes, and it struck a blue BMW i3 traveling southbound.

A 25-year-old male passenger in the Charger was transported to a hospital and was later pronounced dead. The 24-year-old driver of the Charger remained at the scene and was not hospitalized. He reportedly refused medical assistance.

The driver of the BMW, 58, was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.
