Man inside van shot in neck after interaction with suspect in Houston’s Fifth Ward

HOUSTON – A man is reportedly in critical condition after being shot in Houston’s Fifth Ward.

It happened around 9 p.m. in the 3200 block of Noble Street.

Houston Police say the man was sitting in a van when another man walked up to the victim’s window.

Police say there was some sort of interaction between the two before the suspect pulled a gun and fired at least one shot at the man.

The man was hit in the neck and has been taken to a hospital.

He is reportedly in critical condition, but police say he is expected to survive and was alert and talking before he was transported to the hospital.

Police are looking for surveillance video and witnesses to try and get a better description of the suspect.
