Houston City Councilmember teams up with nonprofit to offer low-cost pet spay and neutering option

HOUSTON – Houston City Councilmember Mario Castillo is teaming up with the nonprofit Houston PetSet to offer pet owners in District H the chance to spay or neuter their pets for only $20.

Castillo will be covering the cost of PetSet’s mobile unit from September 8 through September 11.

Appointments opened up Sunday for those surgery dates. Residents have until Wednesday to sign up. Spots are limited.

All pets must be at least four months old and weigh at least four pounds at the time of scheduling. Dogs must also be below 60 pounds.
