HPD investigating after gunshot victim seeks help at north Houston IHOP, 2nd found at bus stop

HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after an overnight shooting in north Houston left two men injured.

Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on E. Crosstimbers and I-45 at around 2:20 a.m. and found two men shot.

Officers said the first call came from a nearby IHOP, where witnesses said a man in his mid-30s stumbled inside with a gunshot wound on his side. Investigators said the shooter was in a silver vehicle.

While investigators were at the IHOP, HPD Lieutenant. R. Wilkens said there was a second shooting at a bus stop nearby where a man had been shot in the torso.

Both men have since been transported to the hospital. They were both described as being in their mid-30s and possibly homeless.

Officers are investigating if the two shootings are related. No suspects are in custody.
