“They’re taking great care of me, trying to figure out why I had this massive swelling in my leg with all this red rash all over it. And why I had memory loss the other day,” McIngvale said. He recounted how, for the first time in 43 years, he drove past his store, Gallery Furniture, due to the memory lapse.

Despite these health challenges, Mattress Mack remains optimistic, saying he’s feeling better and hopes to be discharged from the hospital soon, possibly as early as today or tomorrow. He also mentioned that the best therapy for him has been seeing customers continue to support his business during the Labor Day sale.

McIngvale expressed gratitude for the thousands of messages he’s received from concerned customers, adding that their well-wishes have been a source of encouragement during his recovery.
