HOUSTON – Houstonians are all breathing a sigh of relief that Hurricane Francine passed us by. This is because Hurricane Beryl is still fresh in many people’s minds, along with the many problems it caused.

Despite hitting Houston as a Category 1 storm in July, Beryl downed trees, flooded roadways and homes, and left millions without power.

While Hurricane Francine’s impact on Southeast Texas has been limited, the Houston Food Bank said they are standing by to assist their food bank network in Louisiana, helping out those who may have lost all their food due to power outages.

If you would like to contribute, the Houston Food Bank is open until 5 p.m. Their address is 535 Portwall Street in northeast Houston.
