Man shot, killed following disagreement at bus stop in NE Houston

A man was shot and killed after getting into an argument with a suspected companion near a bus stop in northeast Houston.

The incident occurred at around 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the METRO bus stop in the Fiesta parking lot at 9419 Mesa Dr.

The victim was reportedly in an argument with the suspect regarding the pair’s living situation. As the two approached the bus stop, the man did something that the suspect found threatening, so they turned around a shot him.

When authorities arrived at the scene, the man was laying on the ground covered in blood. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspected shooter remained at the scene and was taken into custody. The gun used to kill the man was also recovered

HPD says the investigation is ongoing.
