The hype for Houston Texans’ quarterback C.J. Stroud is for real, and a recent ranking of NFL-licensed merchandise sales shows that football fans are putting their money where their mouths are.
Earlier this week, the NFLPA released a list of its top-selling NFL players in licensed merchandise between March 1 and May 31 of this year. During that timeframe, the Texans’ second-year signal caller topped the entire league in jersey and merch sales.

As you may imagine, the top portion of the list featured several of the NFL’s most popular quarterbacks.
Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes took the silver spot, Cincinatti Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow ranked fifth, Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback Jalen Hurts ranked sixth and San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Brock Purdy ranked 10th.
Stroud was one of two Texans to crack the top 50. His draftmate, edge rusher Will Anderson Jr., took home the No. 24 spot.
