Another family member killed: 15-year-old dies days after home collapse in Brazoria County

BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas – Officials in Brazoria County have confirmed that a third victim has died from injuries sustained during a house collapse over the weekend.

The latest victim was 15 years old. The two other victims, a 17-year-old and a 31-year-old man, died in the collapse. Four additional people were hospitalized by the accident.

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office said it happened at approximately 5:03 p.m. in the 2000 block of County Road 49 in the Angleton area. Reports indicated that everyone who was injured or killed by the incident was part of the same family.

The home was manufactured and was in the process of being leveled at the time of the crash, and the accident trapped the family underneath it.
