ERCOT releases new version of mobile app to track power grid conditions

Power demand exceeds ERCOT projections

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) has released a new and enhanced version of their mobile app.

ERCOT announced the update in a news release Wednesday. They say the redesign is intended to give users easy access to accurate and up-to-date information about power grid conditions and operations within the ERCOT system.

Officials with ERCOT said that extensive market research and public feedback contributed to the functionality of the updated app. Enhancements include improved navigation, a calendar of ERCOT meetings that stays one week ahead, home screen customization, dark mode and interactive ERCOT dashboards.

“We are committed to providing reliable information on real-time grid conditions and operations that is easily accessible to all stakeholders, including the public,” ERCOT Vice President of Public Affairs Gilbert Hughes said. “This redesign highlights that commitment. By integrating feedback from our various stakeholder groups, we have improved our app’s experience.”

In order to use the updated version of the app, users need to update to the latest version on their devices. Updates can be found in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
