That’s when the Chick-fil-A Market at Springwoods Village team stepped in.
After reaching out to contacts in Juneau, the team connected with an employee at the Alaska State Capitol, who took photos of the couple’s wedding photo in front of the Capitol, signed their names in the visitors’ log, and even sent souvenirs from Alaska back to Texas.

The Houston Chick-fil-A team surprised Bill and Becky with a scrapbook, gifts, and a custom drawing of them in front of the Mendenhall Glacier. The couple was thrilled to have their 50th state capitol visit celebrated in such a special way.
“Bill and Becky mean so much to our team and we wanted to do what we could to help them complete their bucket list,” said local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operator Mike Magdaleno. “We loved channeling a spirit for adventure from Alaska to Texas, and were honored to play a small part in helping them achieve this incredible milestone.”
The couple, married for over 50 years, are beloved regulars at the Springwoods Village Chick-fil-A, and their story is an inspiring reminder of love, hope, and adventure.
