Does your neighborhood Houston area experience drainage issues during storms?

No description found

The remainder of the week is expected to be wet following storms that hit the area on Thursday morning, beginning Halloween with hot and muggy conditions.

KPRC 2′s storm tracker was driving all over the Houston area looking for possible storm damage or flooding. Although today’s storms weren’t that extreme, we did see a lot of downed tree leaves and other debris that could possibly clog a drainage system.

So, we wanted to hear from you:

Let us know if your neighborhood is experiencing any draining issues or if your area is prone to flooding during severe weather.

“All of the channels in Harris County do a good job of carrying stormwater runoff resulting from normal rainfall. The county doesn’t flood with normal rainfall. However, under extreme rainfall conditions when rainfall exceeds several inches per hour for several hours, many areas of the county are susceptible to flooding. Flooding is Harris County’s No. 1 natural disaster,” Harris County Flood Control’s website read about its stormwater drains.
