Precinct 4 constable deputies and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said they received several calls about shots fired on Hawks Nest Drive off Ella Blvd. and T.C. Jester around 10 - 11 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found the man’s body in his garage with several bullet wounds. There were also two young children in the home, who were unharmed and released to their grandmother. Further investigation revealed the children’s mother is the unidentified man’s estranged wife, who was murdered in August 2024.

Homicide detective Sgt. M. Ritchie said neighbors reported seeing a person wearing a Michael Myers-type Halloween mask leaving the area, but they’re unsure if that person is the shooter. Deputies later described the person as a “possible suspect” as whoever the shooter was fled before officers arrived.

No motive has been shared and the murder is still being investigated.
