Heights High School placed on ‘HOLD Mode’ due to possible weapon on campus

HOUSTON – Heights High School parents and students were notified Friday that the campus was placed in “HOLD Mode” due to an anonymous tip of a weapon.

In a letter sent by Principal Wendy Hampton, the high school was placed on HOLD mode at 11:40 a.m. as a precaution while campus police investigate said allegations.

Students dismissal to lunch was delayed for a short time.

Officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates as more information comes available.
