HUMBLE, TX – Three people were severely injured after a high-speed chase ended in a crash in Humble.
Police said they tried to stop a driver who was going between 80 and 100 miles an hour along Townsen Boulevard near the Eastex Freeway at about 8:30 p.m. Friday.

At some point, they said the driver ran a red light and crashed into another driver.
“We heard a big boom, like a bomb fell out of the sky and we just stepped outside of the store to see like what exactly happened,” said Ammad, an employee at Bahama Mama Smoke Shop in Humble. “We saw this car crashed, completely wrecked.”
Two people in the speeding car and the innocent driver in the other car were taken to the hospital.
Police said they all had severe injuries but did not release any further details.
A dog found in the speeding car wasn’t hurt and was taken to a shelter.
It’s unclear why the driver was speeding or what charges they may face.
