Something odd is happening in a Spring Branch neighborhood, and it’s got everyone talking.
Picture this: giant giraffes showing up on front porches, and no one has any idea why. Is it a prank? A weird holiday mystery? Or something else entirely?

It all started with one giraffe
So, it all began last Thursday. One resident, who asked not to be named, was surprised when a giraffe showed up on their front porch. At first, their mom thought maybe it was a gift that got delivered to the wrong address.
“She called me all worried, asking if I ordered it,” the resident said. “But no, I didn’t order anything.” The giraffe stayed on the front lawn, only to disappear later in the afternoon. No explanation. Gone without a trace.

A midnight giraffe drop?
Things got even stranger just a few days later. One night, around 1 a.m., a neighbor caught someone on camera running up to a house, dropping off another giraffe, and then running off.
“If someone is coming up to your house at one in the morning to do it. That kind of makes me a little suspicious,” the resident said. The second giraffe was a little worse for wear—dirty and used, unlike the brand-new one from Thursday. But still, the whole thing was strange.
And here’s the kicker: This wasn’t just happening to one house. Other neighbors on the same block started seeing giraffes on their porches too. They shared the strange incidents in a neighborhood group chat.
Who’s behind the giraffes?
So, who’s behind this? No one knows. “I tried searching the internet. There wasn’t anything about leaving a giraffe on your front porch,” the resident said. One giraffe looked brand new, while another looked like it had been through a lot. But no one’s figured out why these giraffes keep showing up.

Is it a prank or something more?
At this point, nobody’s sure if it’s just a joke or something that could cause problems.
So far, no other strange incidents have been reported in the neighborhood, but with the giraffes popping up more than once, people are starting to get a little suspicious
What happens next?
So, until someone figures out what’s going on, everyone’s staying on alert. The resident suggested that neighbors lock their front gates to make it harder for anyone to get onto their porches or into their yards.
The person responsible was spotted trying the knobs on different gates around the neighborhood.
For now, the big question is: Who’s behind this, and why are they dropping giraffes on our porches?
