GALVESTON, Texas – Carnival Cruise Lines has announced the Carnival Triumph ship in Galveston will be moving to New Orleans.
The ship had been in Galveston since 2011. In a statement, the company says the move will bring a boost to New Orleans' growing cruise business.

The Triumph is expected to start cruising off from New Orleans next spring.
Carnival Liberty will replace Triumph on the line's year-round, four and five-day cruise program from Galveston next spring. That means the cruise line will still operate a total of three ships from Galveston year-round.
