Man shot twice in robbery in southwest Houston

HOUSTON – A man was shot twice during a robbery in southwest Houston.

It was reported around 3:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Townwood Park off Simsbrook Drive and Buffalo Speedway.

Investigators said the driver of a white Ford F-250 pulled up next to the car the 34-year-old man was in, started shooting, and then took off.

The victim was shot in the upper shoulder and taken to Ben Taub Hospital, police said. He is expected to survive.

Officers are looking for a shooter believed to be in his 30s. He was wearing an orange shirt at the time of the shooting.
