The new stadium could be built in the next few years, before the Rangers' lease at Globe Life Park is up.
Globe Life Park was only built in 1994, but it has a flaw that the team and its fans don't like, it does not have a retractable roof.
By contrast Minute Maid Park was built in 2000 and its retractable-roof comes in handy during severe weather and the hot summer months.
